About the session

There’s something about the smell of baking in the oven that creates a feeling of comfort and cosiness – and the very act of making something with your hands can improve your mental health.

Baking can form part of a mindful practice called ‘grounding’, where you use an activity to help you connect with the current moment.

For this recipe, you will need:

  • 210 grams of dark chocolate
  • 65 grams of cocoa powder
  • 65 grams of plain flour
  • 310g of golden caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 60 grams of milk choc chips
  • 260 grams of salted butter
  • 4 eggs and 1 yolk
