Last updated on April 2nd, 2020 at 04:18 pm

Thank you for your continued hard work we appreciate all your efforts at this challenging time.

Please remember the staff intranet is the place to find the latest Covid related information. National guidance for healthcare workers can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/wuhan-novel-coronavirus

PLEASE NOTE: The Trust has received a number of complaints from the public about staff sitting on the grass outside our hospitals. Please remember to respect the government’s social distancing guidance and don’t gather in groups in and around the hospital. Thank you

Covid Cabinet continues to meet daily at 10.30am today’s updates are below

Command Centre

The Trust is in the process of setting up bronze, silver and gold incident command. It is expected that this will be in place next week.

PPE

The Trust position has not changed, we continue to follow national guidance from PHE, which is evidence based. Any individual concerns should be raised directly with the Medical Director or Director of Nursing.  The Trust is not restricting or rationing supplies of PPE, but we are trying to ensure those supplies are used appropriately to provide optimum protection for all staff who need it.

Local Guidance

Services are reminded that they should not issue guidance about the care of COVID patients to either staff or patients unless it has been reviewed and approved at director level. It is vital for the Trust to have a consistent approach across different care settings based on the evidence based guidance.

Absence Recording Sheets

For any covid related staff absences 16.03.20 to 25.03.20 (inc)  can all managers please complete the absence spreadsheet available on the staff intranet as soon as possible.

For absences after 25.03.20 please follow a different process also listed on the staff intranet

Covid E-learning

There is a free COVID-19 e-learning programme available for all clinical staff. This is also listed on the staff intranet https://www.e-lfh.org.uk/programmes/coronavirus/

On Call Rooms

Due to the increased need for staff to be on site and resident on call it has been agreed that the Trust’s on call facilities will be managed centrally by the Estates and FM team.

All keys for rooms currently managed by specialties need to be returned.  Changes to the on call rotas must be sent to: Charlotte Riddler ext 1379  email: accommodation@sthk.nhs.uk
