Use of fans

During the pandemic, staff should not use fans or other air circulating equipment (including Dyson fans) to reduce the temperature in their area. This is in line with national Infection Prevention and Guidance.

This includes all wards, clinics and offices. If you are within the hospitals and experiencing problems with the temperature due to the hot weather, then please report this through the VINCI Facilities helpdesk on ext. 1188.

June Pay

A number of queries have been raised relating to how some individual members of staff pay has been affected by redeployment as a consequence of Covid requirements.

A review is currently being undertaken to ensure that any amendments have been correctly applied.

If any member of staff feels they may have been affected please email covidstaff@sthk.nhs.uk

Thank you

NHS Charities are asking staff to send a photo or video of themselves thanking the public for their donations and support throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. These will be shared across social media on 5th July, the 72nd birthday of the NHS. Please email your messages to communications@sthk.nhs.uk

NHS Covid Heroes

Today’s heroes are the Sexual Health Team who have worked incredibly hard to ensure their service delivery continued throughout the pandemic. Additionally, some staff were redeployed to support Midwifery and ITU, some participated in track and trace and others helped the Trust by checking PPE stock levels and emergency trolleys. Fantastic teamwork by a fantastic team! Thanks everyone and well done
