Patient Property Transfers between Visitor and Patient.
With an increasing amount of patient property being brought in and picked up by relatives due to restricted visitor access, can staff please ensure they follow the below procedures in relation to the transfer of patient property to and from wards.
This page: https://covid.sthk.nhs.uk/patient-property/ (password: STHKcovid19) explains the procedures in full.
The Army volunteers and Medirest will be ensuring the transfer of property to and from wards.
Transferring Patients Property from the Ward
When transferring a patient’s property from the ward, please print off a Transfer Form (see webpage above) and attach it to a bag (double bagged if Linen) and then ring reception who will organise the pick-up.
Transferring Patients Property from Reception
When transferring a patient’s property from Main Reception, the patient’s visitor will have already filled in the Patient Property Form and handed this over at reception.
Reception staff will contact our Army volunteers who will then transfer the item to the ward.
Staff vaccinations – your questions answered
It’s fantastic that 80% of staff have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, but to make sure that everyone is safe and protected, it is vital that we reach those staff that are yet to receive their vaccine.
We know that some staff have questions about the vaccine, for a number of different reasons, so to address this we are planning a live online Q&A session with Professor Kevin Hardy, Medical Director for the Vaccination Programme, the panel will also feature experts from across the Trust and local community.
More information about this will be circulated shortly, but in the meantime, if you have any questions that you would like answering, please email: communications@sthk.nhs.uk and we will put them to the panel.
Today, we share with you the following videos that have been created to address questions and support the BAME community with their vaccination queries:
Members of the BAME community explain why they feel it’s so important to be vaccinated…
How important is it for people from minority backgrounds to get the vaccine?
Do the vaccines contain any pork products?
