SUPPLY DISTRUPTION OF LATERAL FLOW DEVICE TEST KITS
The Trust is aware of issues with staff members not being able to obtain LFD kits from the GOV.uk portal. The National Team confirmed the disruption is not due to lack of stock, but due to the delivery capability. Therefore, any member of staff wishing to take part in LFD testing is advised to try the following:
- Order via the GOV.uk portal early in the morning.
- Pick-up test kits from community collect and pharmacy collect sites: https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/
All results must be recorded via the GOV.uk portal.
Staff who require daily testing following contact by NHS Test and Trace will be able to obtain a supply of kits from the Self-Isolation team.
An alternative method to LFD is LAMP (asymptomatic staff saliva COVID-19 test) which is routinely available for all STHK staff, details on how to take part can be found here: https://covid.sthk.nhs.uk/lamp-testing/ (password: STHKcovid19)
