————————————————————————————————————–

It is your responsibility to keep STHK safe

Each member of staff has an individual responsibility to ensure that our colleagues and patients are protected from the spread of COVID-19.

We must all follow the guidance AT ALL TIMES – wear your mask properly, stay 2m apart where possible, and wash/gel your hands regularly.

Please watch this short film of colleagues across the Trust and remember
– STHK needs you to STAY SAFE!

Visiting restrictions

Visiting continues to be suspended at all our hospitals to keep our patients, visitors and staff safe, with the following exceptions only:

ONE visitor is permitted as an exception when:

•           Visiting a patient receiving end of life care

ONE visitor is also permitted for:

•           A parent / responsible adult visiting a child

•           Supporting a patient with mental health or learning disabilities

•           A birthing partner accompanying a woman in labour

All visitors must be agreed with the nurse / midwife in charge of the ward / department.

No other visitors are permitted to visit any other ward/department at any time.

People who have symptoms of COVID and/or those who are in self-isolation must not visit patients in hospital.

Meetings within the Trust

Staff should continue to hold all meetings remotely via Skype or Microsoft Teams. Only in exceptional circumstances, and after all other options have been explored, should face to face meetings continue.

In these circumstances, staff must ensure that they continue to follow all guidance; the meeting should take place in a COVID secure environment, social distance must be kept at all times adhering to the maximum number of people allowed in the room, and appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
