Advice for pregnant women regarding the COVID-19 vaccination
All pregnant women are now advised to have the COVID-19 vaccination.
Liverpool Women’s Hospital have produced a short video answering questions around the vaccine and its safety during pregnancy.
If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, and are yet to have the vaccination, then please take the time to watch this video which will hopefully answer any questions you may have: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G9wTksLu8U
If you have any further queries, or wish to discuss having the vaccination during pregnancy, then we can put you in touch with the Trust’s Clinical Director and Consultant Obstetrician, Tennyson Idama, or our Vaccination Centre Medical Director, Professor Kevin Hardy, or are both happy to speak with you directly. Please do not hesitate to get in touch, email: communications@sthk.nhs.uk and we will help arrange this for you.
If you still need to get your vaccination, the Mass Vaccination Centre at St Helens Rugby Ground has both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines available.
You can visit the Vaccination Centre between 8am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm – 7pm most days. The centre is next open from Monday 9th August – Wednesday 11th August, and then right through from the Monday 16th August – Wednesday 25th August.
