Staff are reminded not to wear PPE equipment in the hospitals’ restaurants or retail outlets. Please remove all PPE when you leave the clinical area and immediately wash your hands.
Silver Command
Silver Command will be up and running from tomorrow (Fri 3rd April) as a central point to deal with any operational issues unable to be resolved at local level.
Testing for staff
Staff are reminded to follow the Trust’s Covid-19 testing procedures.
Staff MUST NOT conduct their own swab, ALL Covid-19 testing should be arranged though the Self-Isolation Team.

There is also information about the process for swabbing household members should they show signs of Covid-19 and staff need to self-isolate.
PPE Stock
You will all be aware of the importance of maintaining the correct stock levels of PPE equipment. We receive regular deliveries from the National Pandemic Stock and we also are ordering regularly from NHS Supply Chain and other providers, to ensure that we have the right stock available.
We now need to obtain a daily report from each ward/department detailing the status of your PPE stock. Please complete the PPE Ward Stock Form v2.0 each day by no later than 2pm and email to purchasing@sthk.nhs.uk and title ‘Ward Stock Report’.
The form has been emailed to all relevant Ward Managers and Matrons and is also available on the staff intranet (bottom link).
