As part of a small group (max 6 people at any one time) staff can get advice on:
- Managing difficult thoughts and feelings in ‘challenging times’
- Protecting your own ‘wellbeing’
- Mindfulness
- Finding further support
Please note: if you are feeling overwhelmed and would like to arrange 1:1 support please speak to Bernie Smith or Karen Brayley about accessing further support via HWWB tel: 0151 430 1985 or email: HWWB.Admin@sthk.nhs.uk

Updated RIP procedure
Please be advised of the process to follow on the death of a patient.
Following the next of kin being informed of the death, the patient should remain on the ward and the family offered the opportunity for one family member to visit the deceased on the ward.
Any exceptions to this must be agreed with the ward manager or nurse in charge.
Following the visit, or if the opportunity to visit is declined, the deceased can then be transferred to the Mortuary.
Should the family be unable to attend the ward within a reasonable time or make a further request to visit the deceased this must be organised with the funeral director.
Only in extreme circumstances can the deceased be visited in the mortuary with the cooperation of the bed managers and ward staff.
#HiddenHospitalHeroes
Today we say a huge thank you to our Infection Prevention Team who have been working extremely hard to support us during the coronavirus pandemic. They have adapted the Trust’s processes and practice in line with the (frequently changing) national guidance, are forever answering our endless questions and continue to provide specialist support to all our staff – if that’s not heroic we don’t know what is ?
